What Is The Real Focus Of The End-Times?
Currently our nation, and the nations of the world are facing many issues, and problems on a level that they have not encountered before. It seems that the enemy is throwing everything at once. Many are saying, “this is it”, or “ this is the end.” The focus seems to be on all of the problems, clamor, and uproar that is creating chaos and congestion. Our lives have been disrupted due to COVID-19, and we have election turmoil, riots, looting, protests, and all manner of evil, including lawlessness, running rampant. The church is too busy trying to figure out what the enemy is doing.
We in the church need to be aware of the plans of the enemy, but greater is the fact that we should always be aware of the planes of God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. The end-times or end of the age is often associated with the Anti-christ, gloom, doom, and plagues, pestilence, and disaster. WE forget that it is about the return of the KIng, His judgment on the Anti-christ and his system and all of those who follow him including nations.
Christ will return and gather the saints and judge everything in the earth. It should be our focus that He is returning and we should be trying to be prepared and prepare as many people and nations as we can. We will be held accountable for what we do and how we prepare. As the Lord reveals the plans of the enemy we It’s not to cause us to retreat and hide and, unless the Lord tells us. We must confront evil, but with wisdom and revelation according to Ephesians 1:17-18.
Prayer with fasting and studying of the Word of God should be our main focus. Nothing really should take us by surprise. The Bible warns us of impending peril on the earth. God speaks certain things to people of God to allow us to prepare and pray. There are times where our prayers will stop the enemy’s plans, but one day God will use those plans for His purposes to bring in the final harvest.
We have a great cloud of witnesses cheering us on, and we have a legion of angels to guard us and protect us. Why do we fear? The best days of the church are ahead. Times will get more and more turbulent. The true and pure church will come forth as pure gold, as the fires of testing continue. We must embrace what the Lord does in our lives, and the seasons of testing.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3 about His return and the end of the age. Jesus pointed to many different signs that would occur at the time of His return and the end of the age. He never separated the two events. But He placed the time of His return in the middle of certain key events. We cannot know the hour, but we are warned to be aware of the season. We are in the season and that means that the enemy will do all that he can to stop it and pull as many away from focusing on Jesus’ return as possible.
We all face challenges in our daily lives, and sometimes there are those that really break us down. BUt, In it all we must keep our focus on Jesus, and the promises of God’s word and what He has promised each and every one of us. When the children of Israel were in Egypt, the Lord heard their cries for deliverance, and sent Moses. Soon, as he faced an anti-christ figure in Pharaoh, he released judgment on the land for what he and the other Egyptian rulers had done to them , and for not releasing them to go worship Yahweh.
When the plagues were released they went all over the land of Egypt affecting everyone, except those in Goshen. THe children of Israel were protected from the judgment that God released on Egypt’s gods and the land. Eventually, the Israelites were protected from death of the firstborn when they sprinkled the blood of the lamb over the doorposts.
This gives us a picture that as Jesus releases judgments on the earth we will be protected. We have the blood of the lamb, His Spirit, and His Word, and many angels. Yet, many will continue to suffer and be persecuted and some will be martyrs for the sake of the gospel. The end result will be for those who are martyred that they will sing the song of Moses and of the lamb around the throne. (Revelation 15:1-8)
The bottom e line is this: He has already won the victory and we are victorious through Him. There will be turbulence and upheaval but that is not our part. WE press on and endure to the end as the Enduring Church! He is coming back for us to rule and reign in the New Jerusalem with Him, but there will be opposition. Keep your eyes on Him, and hold fast to His promise=ises, and do not be led astray by the evil that continues to rise up!
